I love Bruce Lansky's books. Full of adventures and historic settings, his books tell tales of honor and hope for kids of all ages. This book is a short story about a girl who takes chances to honor her brother's legacy by winning an award not given to girls. I wanted to cheer at the end. I will be looking forward to more from him in the future. I recommend this series to children of preteen age. This is a simple and lively adventure which could be enjoyable to younger readers if it were read to them.Product details

The story could have been a little better written, but I appreciated greatly a story about a strong female character fighting for something other than romantic love. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

I chose five stars because it was a good book. What I disliked about it was when Reggie was sick in bed because I dint like it when people are sick. I liked when Lindsey was acting like Reggie. I think that people who like girls saving the day or rescuing people should get this book. I really want the next book.
Our 7 year old loved this enough to take time to write her own review. I gave only 4 stars because both of us could predict the course of the story.
My 9 year old who is an advanced reader loved this. All I kept hearing were giggles while it was being read. It's a cute little book. I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.
She "Lindsey" was very brave it inspired me to be brave not cowardly so I Will be counting on more books!!!
